The Point is about to get even artsier as plans are in the works for the “Point Richmond Arts and Crafts Festival” to get underway on Father’s Day.
The event will kick off Sunday, June 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will return every third Sunday this summer, at 78 Railroad Ave. (behind the Baltic Kiss).
The recurring festival will offer a chance for people to peruse the latest and greatest works from Arts of Point Richmond (AOPR) artists throughout the summer. AOPR is planning one booth to showcase a sample of art from each of our artists who wish to participate, according to its website.
The festival will feature art, food, music and more. “Come explore handcrafted local items,” encouraged AOPR. It’s a possible destination for some Father’s Day exploration with your pop.
Those wishing to display a piece of art can contact Margi Sullivan at [email protected]. Anyone wanting to have their own booth can get in touch with festival organizers at [email protected].
