Richmond-based Rubicon Bakers has added gluten-free sweet baked goods to its lineup with the recent acquisition of Lucky Spoon Bakery, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Founded in 2010, Lucky Spoon Bakery offers cakes, cupcakes, brownies and more and can be found in grocery stores nationwide. The Rubicon bakery portfolio also currently includes Just Desserts.
“We are excited to enter the gluten-free category and build on our expertise in meeting specific dietary needs with delicious, fresh baked goods,” said Sebastian Siethoff, CEO of Rubicon Bakers.
Located at 154 S 23rd St. in Richmond, Rubicon Bakers is well established in offering clean-label, nut-free and vegan baked goods. Founded in 1993, the popular bakery is also known for training people facing incarceration, housing insecurity or substance disorders to create delicious baked goods from scratch.
