The Richmond Chamber of Commerce launched a podcast series on YouTube this week featuring interviews with city leaders and local business owners.

Hosted by Chamber President/CEO James Lee, the endeavor is launching during Small Business Week—now through May 4—with new podcast episodes arriving daily this week with “unique perspectives and advice from local business leaders,” according to the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.

First up in the podcast series is The Backyard, a Richmond business that launched in November 2022 and is emerging as a local hotspot. Owned by Emmet Kauffman and his wife Dominique, the eatery serves up burgers, sandwiches and tartines at a venue that’s one part beer and wine garden, one part music venue in a backyard-style community gathering space.

The eatery is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 205 Cutting Blvd. Check out the premiere episode.

This week has also seen the chamber feature podcasts on Richmond’s House Rabbit Society, Visionova HR Consulting and Park Place Barbers.

After Small Business Week, the chamber will keep things moving with a weekly podcast episode viewable on its YouTube channel.
