East Brother Beer Co. will celebrate its 7th anniversary of revolving around the shining beer growler in the sky Sunday, Feb. 18 from noon to 8 p.m.

The all-day event will help wind down Bay Area Beer Week as East Brother pours special beers from a Tapwagon while featuring a historic, hot-poker Bierstacheln serving technique. Ample food truck options and live music will also be a part of the family and furball friendly celebration at the brewery’s taproom in Richmond.

A highlight of the anniversary event will be East Brother’s special pouring of RFK ’89, which will be presented in a traditional firkin, according to Rob Lightner of East Brother. The British Golden Ale was brewed by Dave McLean of Admiral Maltings, Eddie Gobbo of Harmonic Brewing Co. and the Richmond brewery’s own Brewmaster Paul Liszewski and was named after Liszewski’s first Grateful Dead show.

Food options throughout the day will include Richmond’s own Golden Gate Bistro food truck, as well as Uncle Cheezy’s Pizza food truck serving up New York Style pizzas.

Grammy-nominated musician Andre Thiery will perform live music from 3-6 p.m.

East Brother Beer Co.’s taproom is located at 1001 Canal Blvd. in Richmond.
