The City of Richmond is inviting the community to a “snow day” at Nicholl Park on Thursday, Dec. 21.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park and is free for everyone, according to the city.
As we recently reported, the city’s Recreation Department developed an agreement with Richmond-based All Seasons Ice Company to provide 20 tons of ice/snow at Nicholl Park.
This is the city’s 2nd Annual Snow Day.
“Bring your personal snow saucers so you can slide down the snow,” city officials said. “Dress warmly and wear gloves. We recommend dressing kids in snow pants.”
The event will include food ventors and plenty of parking along Macdonald Avenue and at the Richmond Recreation Complex lot.
