The East Bay Pickleball Association will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the first dedicated pickleball courts, not only in Richmond but in all of West Contra Costa County.
The event will take place at the pickleball courts at Booker T. Anderson, Jr. Park, S. 47th Street and Cypress Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10.
Mayor Eduardo Martinez will participate in the ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. A potluck will occur at noon. There will also, of course, be fun, play and activities. Newbies are welcome.
