Point Richmond Music (PRM) free summer concerts return this Friday, June 9 with performances by Mandolin Manny & Friends and I ko YaYa!
The music festival takes place on the second Friday of each month, June through September, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Park Place between West Richmond and Washington Avenues in historic Point Richmond.
Concert-goers can also dine at local restaurants, food trucks, and can also purchased beverages served in biodegradable cups at PRM’s no host bar, with proceeds directly supporting the music series.
A limited number of festival-style seating is available so concert-goers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
PRM is an all-volunteer non-proefit organization that aims build community through the unifying language of music.
Friday, June 9 Lineup:
5:30pm – 6:30pm – Mandolin Manny & Friends are a modern string band playing original bluegrass, traditional standards, and classic favorites reimagined through a bluegrass lens. They focus on playing music with high energy, tight vocal harmonies, and with a virtuosic instrument prowess. https://www.mandolinmanny.com/
6:45pm – 7:45pm – I Ko YaYa’s Louisiana-influenced music gets folks on their feet to enjoy “swamp ‘n roll!” They serve up a full plate of New Orleans flavored dance gumbo—blues & boogie, Cajun/Zydeco, R&B, Second Line, and even a little country—all delivered with a Mardi Gras vibe! https://ikoyaya.com/
