Great food will be served up for a good cause when Contra Costa College’s Culinary Arts Academy hosts its “Food & Wine Festival” Sun., April 23 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The 14th annual fundraiser will take place in Contra Costa College’s Aqua Terra Grill and Fireside Hall. Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door and include some swag: A souvenir wine glass.
“This event supports our culinary students and provides needed funds for them to experience culinary traditions in another country,” stated the college about the fundraiser’s purpose.
Fundraiser supporters will have the chance to sample signature dishes from more than 40 popular food and beverages businesses, as well as offerings from food trucks, and catch a cooking demo by the program’s own culinary arts students.
Also lined up for the festival will be silent/live auctions, music from the GTS band, a chance to unlock a top shelf liquor cabinet, a mystery bag surprise wheel, raffles of cakes/gift baskets, door prizes and giveaways.
