The San Pablo EDC is hosting a Virtual Hiring Fair on Wednesday Jan. 25 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with the Richmond office of the Social Security Administration.

Register ahead of time for this Zoom hiring event by clicking the link below and following the registration instructions; pre-registration is mandatory to be able to join the event.

The Social Security Administration is a branch of the federal government, offering excellent starting pay and outstanding benefits, as well as an entry into the federal government’s salary and career advancement structure.  Federal benefits include generous paid vacation allowances, extensive healthcare coverage, pension and retirement benefits with an employer match, life insurance, and more.  Additionally, positions with the Social Security office offer potential remote work and flexible schedules.

The Richmond office of the Social Security administration is currently hiring for Benefit Authorizers, and Contact Representative positions as well.  They want to hire members of the local community, and they promote from within to advance their employees.  This is a terrific chance to begin a career with the federal government, working with a great local office!

You can register for the event at this link; then connect via Zoom at 2 pm on Wednesday Jan. 25th:

Representatives from the Social Security office will briefly introduce their agency and speak about their open positions, and job seekers will have the opportunity to submit questions via the event’s online chat, which will be given to the agency representatives by EDC Staff.  Hearing directly from employers at hiring events, whether virtual or in-person, is a great way to network with companies that are looking to hire, and to find out more about how to apply and be considered for open positions.
