The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Take Back Day event will include an event in Richmond on Saturday Oct. 29.
Collections of used or expired medications will occur from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1000 Macdonald Ave. (the RPD Substation).
This is an opportunity for residents to safely dispose of the medications so they don’t end up in the wrong hands.
Free opiod overdose medication Narcan will be available to anyone with prescription opiods in their homes.
Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices will also be collected, as long as the batteries are removed.
Masks are required during drop off.
