Take 5 Oil Change, a company that provides “stay in your car 10-minute oil changes,” opened at 4325 Macdonald Ave. in Richmond on Friday, Sept. 2. It is the first Take 5 location in California.
“We’re all about fast, friendly, and simplified oil changes,” the company website states. “In just a few short minutes, we change your engine oil along with the filter. Vital under hood fluids are checked and replenished to the recommended level.”
The franchised location in Richmond is owned and managed by Las Vegas-headquartered Automotive Services Holdings, LLC (ASH), which has plans to open more Take 5 Oil Change stores in the region.
Driven Brands acquired Take 5 Oil Change in 2016. Since then, the brand has grown from less than 70 locations to more than 750.
Danny Rivera, EVP and group president of maintenance at Driven Brands, said Take 5 is a “great model for franchising.” He added that the stay in your car 10-minute oil change service “resonates with customers who are looking for stellar service and convenience.”
