Groundwork Richmond is appealing for community support this holiday season for its “Winter Drive” that will help “give the gift of warmth” to some of the city’s most vulnerable people.
Starting today and running through Jan. 16, the organization is partnering with S.O.S. Richmond (Safe Organized Spaces) to collect gently used warm coats, hoodies, blankets and tents for Richmond’s unsheltered communities.
Donations can be dropped off at Groundwork Richmond, 249 Tewksbury Ave., Suite A, Point Richmond, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The drop-off location will be closed for the holidays Dec. 23 through Jan. 2.
