Residents of Richmond and nearby cities will gain easy access to specialty foods from throughout the Bay Area thanks to a weekly home delivery service launching locally next week.
Locale, unveiled in 2020 by Los Gatos natives and Co-founders Chris Clark and Jonathan Friedland, “helps small, local businesses and farmers reach more customers” through Saturday deliveries that will now be available to residents of Richmond, San Pablo, El Cerrito and Albany, per a recent Facebook post.
Customers can order food throughout the week from Bay Area faves like Craftsman and Wolves, Manresa Bread, Pizzeria Delfina, Homeroom, Brenda’s French Soul Food and other bakeries, restaurants and farms and get it delivered for $5, according to the post. Orders can be changed/canceled through Thursday at midnight and there is no minimum order size.
Locale stated on its website it curates “some of the best food the Bay Area has to offer” such as freshly picked produce, pastries baked the morning of delivery and meals and kits from popular restaurants. Check out its vendor list here.
Those interested in trying the new food delivery service can sign up for Locale’s waitlist to reserve their spot and receive $10 off their first order. Lean more about Locale here.
