Want to help fulfill the holiday wish list of local furballs in need? The San Pablo Police Department (SPPD) is appealing for community help with its “Donation Drive” for much-needed items for our four-legged friends at Jelly’s Place. The San Pablo-based nonprofit animal rescue shelter provides veterinary care and placement for “abandoned, impounded, sick or injured dogs and cats.”

The department is collecting donations of the following items in new condition: Piddle pads, paper towels, latex gloves, dry/canned dog/cat food and treats, cat litter/boxes; brooms, dust pans, Fabuloso all-purpose cleaner, kitchen and back yard bags, Ziploc bags and newspaper. Jelly’s Place is also in need of clean/gently used towels, single layer blankets and throw rugs.

“Let’s help the animals have a better holiday season,” stated department reps on Facebook.

To donate items from Jelly’s Place’s wish list, drop them off at the San Pablo Police Department, 13880 San Pablo Ave. in San Pablo, by Fri., Dec. 10. Questions? Contact Tracey at 510-215-3107.
