Starting Wed., Sept. 15, proof of being age 21 or over won’t be the only documentation you’ll need to show The Factory Bar to get in—you’ll also need to present your Proof of Vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last 72 hours.
“After long discussions at The Factory Bar, we’ve decided to begin asking for Proof of Vaccinations starting next Wednesday Sept. 15,” said bar owners in a statement on social media. As of this writing, reaction to the new policy from the bar’s social media followers on Facebook and Instagram were predominantly positive, save for a few dissenters.
In response to a comment on Instagram, bar owners said that they’ve “been debating the subject for a while” and that their decision to require Proof of Vaccination came down to “following the consensus of our staff and our community and their comfort level of safety and care.”
In addition to announcing the new policy, the bar’s owners also announced that they will be “opening the bar up for seating starting on that same day.” In addition to enjoying drinks on The Factory Bar’s outdoor patio space, patrons now will also be able to hang out inside the bar as well.
To make it easier for patrons, the bar provided a link where people can create a digital version of their vaccination card to save on their phone. Click here to get started.
“We appreciate all the work our community has done to keep each other safe and get out of this pandemic mess as soon as possible,” said the bar owners. “Take care of each other and be safe.”
