All adoptions from the Contra Costa Animal Services (CCAS) are free through Sept. 19 as part of a Clear the Shelter partnership with NBC Bay Area and Telemundo.
Licensing and other fees may apply.
Adoptions can happen virtually or in-person adoptions, with priority give to in-person adoptions. To view pets available for adoption, visit www.ccasd.org. Residents can call (925) 608-8400 and have the Animal ID number ready for more information about available pets.
