A shootout between a dirt bike rider and occupants of a Dodge Magnum on Sunday resulted in no injuries but plenty of damages, police said.

At about 5 p.m., police responded to Shotspotter gun detection system activations of nine, ten and 14 rounds in the 200 block of S. 23rd Street, Richmond police Capt. Al Walle said.

“Witnesses reported that a dirt bike rider and two occupants in a Dodge Magnum were shooting at each other, resulting in the Dodge crashing into seven parked cars and the occupants abandoning the vehicle,” Walle said, adding, “Several cars and homes were struck by gunfire but there were no reported injuries.”

Further details weren’t immediately available.
