AC Transit reducing service due to COVID-19 pandemic

One week after BART expanded services amid pandemic reopenings, AC Transit plans to increase bus services starting Aug. 8.

Transbay service levels will increase, including additional lines and trips, Supplementary Service to Schools will resume Aug. 9, and the Line 78 Pilot, timed to connect riders to and from the Alameda Seaplane Ferry, will launch Aug. 9.

Launch of new pilot service from Fruitvale BART to the Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal via Santa Clara Ave., Webster Street, and Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway. Buses are timed to meet ferry departures in the morning and ferry arrivals in the afternoon.
