A fight over a Trump flag on a Richmond beach Friday afternoon led to a gunshot being fired, but no one was injured, police said.

At 12:08 p.m. Friday, officers responded to Cliffside Court in Point Richmond about the fight, Richmond police Capt. Al Walle said.

“A man was on the beach with friends taking pictures with a Trump flag and was accosted by a group of fishermen,” Walle said. “One fisherman attempted to take the flag, struggled with the victim over the flag pole, and fired a gunshot at the victim but missed.”

The suspect fled in a light blue Honda. No arrests have been announced.
