NAACP-Richmond branch set to hold election for officers

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)-Richmond branch will hold an election for its officers and at-large members on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Voting will occur from 8 a.m to noon via the online portal OpaVote. To vote in a Branch election, one must be a member in good standing of the Branch 30 days prior to the election, as specified in the NAACP 2020 Manual on Branch Election Procedures.

Voting instructions will be emailed to Branch members.  Anyone with questions about voting should contact Elections Supervisory Committee Secretary, Audrey Comeaux, at [email protected].

The 2020 Election Supervisory Committee includes Zelon Harrison (Chair); Audrey Comeaux (Secretary) and members Champagne Brown, Angelique Holmes, Linda Whitmore, Lloyd Madden and Uche Uwahemu.
