Want to weigh-in on the redesign of Richmond’s Shields-Reid Park? The City of Richmond is hosting two upcoming sidewalk meetings where local community members can offer their input on creating the park of their dreams.

The first sidewalk meeting is set for Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the second one is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Both meetings will be held at the Shields-Reid Park and Community Center, 1410 Kelsey St. in Richmond. Organizers advise all participants to wear face masks and to maintain social distancing at all times.

“Let us know what you would like to see in the park, and where,” stated City organizers in appealing to meeting participants.
