Richmond resident Shruti Jain has been honored as a scholar by The Arthur M. Blank School of Entrepreneurial Leadership Scholar at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. As part of her honor, Jain has been awarded a four-year, full-tuition, merit-based scholarship to the school funded by the Blank Family Foundation.

A 2020 graduate of San Francisco University High School, Jain and five fellow Blank School Scholars were selected for their scholarships due to their high academic achievement and potential as entrepreneurial leaders, according to Babson College in a statement.

“The inaugural class of 2020 Blank School Scholars are six students who embody Arthur Blank’s leadership qualities and his personal foundational values that have been incorporated within the school: Put People First; Listen and Respond; Include Everyone; Innovate Continuously; Lead by Example; and Give Back to Others,” per the statement.

As a Blank School Scholar, Jain will learn to lead change, create scalable solutions to global problems and generate sustainable value across business and society. Her future plans include utilizing entrepreneurship to break down socioeconomic barriers.

“Being a Blank School Scholar means we hold the value of using our entrepreneurial education and experiences to better our community at Babson and beyond,” Jain told Babson Magazine. “I’m excited to see what we will come up with over the next four years. It’s unknown what we will accomplish, but I know we will accomplish great things.”
