A sobriety checkpoint at Marina Way and Barrett Avenue in Richmond on Friday, Sept. 11, resulted in 102 citations, three DUI arrests, two warrant arrests, one firearm confiscated and 11 cars impounded, police said.
The checkpoint started about 6 p.m. and ended at about 1 a.m. The citations handed out were primarily for unlicensed drivers and suspended licenses.
It’s the latest of several checkpoints being held in areas around the city. Earlier checkpoints were conducted at 23rd Street and Bissell Avenue on July 31; on Hilltop Drive on July 3; and on Richmond Parkway near West Macdonald Avenue on Feb. 28.
