The City of Richmond’s Love Your Block program is offering mini-grants of up to $500 for creative, volunteer projects that positively impact Richmond residents impacted by COVID-19.

The Love Your Block COVID-19 Grant Application process is now open. Five mini-grants are offered. Apply to receive one here. Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

Examples of project ideas include face-mask making and distribution, grocery purchase/delivery for vulnerable residents, installing or stocking Little Free Libraries, COVID-19 temporary public artwork, or a virtual community program, such as paint nights and virtual fitness.

“Over the years, Love Your Block has awarded 20 mini-grants, and countless more in-kind resources, to volunteer-based community beautification projects in Richmond, led by your neighbors and local organizations,” the city program said. “Now, we want to help you show how you #LoveYourBlock, together while apart in Richmond.”
