Food truck could soon return to this San Pablo spot
Plans for a foot truck at this site includes two picnic tables for outdoor dining.

A food truck with outdoor seating might soon return to the corner of Rumrill Boulevard and Market Avenue in San Pablo.

Miguel Soriano and his two brothers have applied for a conditional use permit to operate Tortas Y Jugos Los Chilangos at 1801 Rumrill Blvd., just south of the Food Barn.

Plans for the site includes the food truck with two picnic tables and planters for outdoor dining. The proposed hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

In his business plan, Soriano said the aim of the business is to be “the premier home-style food truck in the city of San Pablo,” and to provide a “unique and relaxing dining experience — similar to dining at home.”

Along with providing quality ingredients at affordable prices, the business will be “mindful of the well being of our customers and staff — treating each and everyone with dignity and respect — just like we would at our own home!”

In 2006, the San Pablo Planning Commission approved a mobile vending use for this location. A few years ago, that food truck left the location.

The San Pablo Planning Commission is expected to review Soriano’s plans at its next meeting on Tuesday. Click here for more information.
