A driver was killed in a solo-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 just west of San Pablo Dam Road Sunday morning, according to the CHP.
The CHP responded to the crash scene at about about 6:35 a.m. A preliminary investigation indicates that a black Honda Civic collided with the right shoulder, then subsequently crossed all lanes and collided with the center divide. The female driver who was the sole occupant in the Honda suffered fatal injuries in the crash, the CHP said. Her identity has not yet been released.
Alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in the crash at this time, the CHP said.
