A vehicle-based “Caravan for Racial Justice” honoring the life and memory of George Floyd, who was killed while in police custody in Minneapolis, MN, will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9.
Contra Costa College organizers welcome the public to join them on campus at the student drop-off area and to “bring signs, decorate your car, wear a mask and safely social distance.” The vehicle caravan will drive from the college campus to 23rd Street in Richmond and proceed up Cutting Blvd. to join a “Black Lives Matter” rally at Kennedy High School.
“We ask everyone participating to wear masks and follow safe social distancing while outside of your vehicles,” said the organizers in a statement on Facebook.
Contra Costa College is located at 2600 Mission Bell Dr. in San Pablo. For more info, click here or look for #CCC4RacialJustice on social media.
