Bike to Work Day, held annually during the month of May, which is National Bike Month, has been postponed to Thursday, Sept. 24, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Bike East Bay.

Bike to Work Day connects long-time bicycle commuters and first-time riders alike for a sustainable, healthy, and eco-friendly commute. On that day, energizer stations are set up in communities to provide drink, snacks and giveaways to cycling commuters.

Despite the pandemic, not all bicycle celebrations in May are postponed. Bike East Bay will still be celebrating Virtual Bike Month in May with online activities, interactive workshops, and virtual high-fives.
