The Contra Costa County Library is offering sweet relief for members seeking an escape during California’s shelter-at-home order. Even better? You can file this free golden opportunity under “cultural enrichment.”
For the next 30 days, the library is offering library card holders free access to a collection of movies via its video streaming service, Kanopy. Film genres range from popular movies to documentaries to world cinema and more and the content pool expected to expand in the near future.
The free offering also includes unlimited access to Kanopy Kids, which features engaging content for children such as Sesame Street, Arthur, language learning series and other selections.
Library members who haven’t done so already can sign up for a Kanopy account here by adding their Contra Costa County Library card number, PIN or password. Google and Facebook can also be used to log in, but a library card number is still required.
Contra Costa County libraries are closed under the state’s shelter-at-home order, however, a number of other online resources are available by clicking here. Visit the library’s website here.
