Dog ate your ballot? Don’t worry! Today and tomorrow, Contra Costa County residents can still cast their ballots, and even register to vote, in the March 3 Presidential Primary Election.

While the deadline to register to vote was two weeks ago, residents who haven’t registered can use Conditional Voter Registration in order to vote at all early voting sites and Election Day polling places. Your ballot will be counted after Election Officials confirm your eligibility.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day, or you can deliver it to polling places or to ballot drop-off locations. Click here for ballot drop-off locations in Contra Costa County.

Want to vote in person today? Early voting is available in Richmond, Pleasant Hill and Antioch through 7 p.m. The Richmond early voting site is Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza.

And tomorrow, on Election Day, polling stations will open throughout the County from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click here for polling stations countywide (and click “Polling Places”).

What’s on the ballot? While everyone’s talking about the U.S. Presidential Primary, there are several local issues on the ballot. That includes Measure R, a schools construction bond measure upgrading West Contra Costa Unified facilities, and also Measure J, an annual half-cent sales tax for 35 years to fund transportation improvements. In addition, the statewide Prop. 13 is a construction bond initiative to benefit public education facilities.

The California Elections Office provides information on the lone state proposition on the ballot, Prop. 13, a public education construction bond measure.
