The community is invited to Urban Tilth’s North Richmond Farm to celebrate Food Day, where families can enjoy food, music, games, prizes, and gardening.
There will be free screen printing on site; get the design of the day screen printed on your bag, shirt, or hoodie. Also, organizations will be on hand with information and resources including interactive kids activities, easy exercises, making fun fall salads, accessing local produce and more.
The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Richmond Farm, 323 Brookside Dr. in Richmond.
According to the Richmond Food Policy Council the purpose of this event is to “foster a robust dialogue about how to promote nutrition and health, lessen hunger, increase access to healthy foods, and enhance opportunities for local, sustainable agriculture to thrive.”
