East Brother Beer Co. just won another big award for its beer.
At the California Craft Brewers Cup in Long Beach, part of the California Craft Brewers Association’s annual conference, the Richmond-based brewery’s Bo Pils took the Gold Medal in the Bohemian-style Pilsner category.
The recognition has Rob Lightner, co-founder of East Brother Beer Co., “super-excited.”
“Feels good to get some recognition for all the hard work everyone puts in day to day,” Lightner said.

In June, East Brother Beer Co. won gold at the 2019 California State Fair for its Oatmeal Stout in the “Foreign Export Stout” category.
The brewery previously won recognition by receiving six nominations in five categories in the Best of Oakland and the East Bay readers’ choice competition by Oakland Magazine.
