Want your works to be exhibited at the storied 83-year-old Richmond Art Center?
The art center at 2540 Barrett Ave. has an open call for graphic art and illustration until the deadline of Aug. 8.
The works will join an exhibition running from Sept. 10 to Nov. 22 featuring contemporary art by California graphic artists and illustrators who “express vital messages and explore the concerns of our time,” according to the art center.
The exhibition is juried by Marvella Muro, Director of Artistic Programs and Education at Self Help Graphics and Art in Los Angeles.
Artists who live in California are invited to enter. Works may include printmaking, comic and sequential art, digital art, and illustration.
“The juror is interested in work by artists who creatively express timely messages and use unique approaches to explore shared issues relevant to local and global communities,” the art center said.
