Richmond police are investigating a carjacking that occurred in the Hilltop area Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the carjacking report in the 3900 block of Klose Way at 3:46 p.m., Richmond police Capt. All Walle said.
When a woman was entering her car, a man pulled her door open and demanded her keys, Walle said. When she refused, he pulled her from the vehicle and fled in her 2017 silver Ford Escape south on Klose Way.
“The victim was uninjured and described the suspect as a Black male in his 30s, 5’10”, average build, short black hair and wearing a cream colored sweatshirt with black print, white t-shirt and black pants,” Walle said.
