In August last year, we reported progress in the reinvention of The Shops at Hilltop, which received city approval to renovate the aging mall’s exterior.
It was one step in both shortterm and longterm plans by mall owner LGB Hilltop LLC to utterly reinvent the 77-acre mall property. In the short term, improvements are coming to the mall, including a new 99 Ranch Market set to open in 2020. In the longterm, the developer aims to add two hotels, creative office space, 1.2 million square feet of retail and about 3,500 residential units.
In a video this week, LGB Hilltop LLC gave us quite a vision of what the property might end up looking like. The ambitious plans will require city review.
