During three consecutive weekends starting Feb. 16, portions of the platform at the Richmond BART Station will be closed for a tiles replacement project. The construction will impact train service, leading to single-tracking, the transit agency says.
The project will “will replace any broken tiles and also replace the edge strips with solid yellow strips that meet new standards,” transit agency officials said.
During the work weekends of Feb. 16-18 (includes holiday), March 2-3, and March 9-10, no Red Line service will occur Saturdays. The Orange line will have longer trains on those Saturdays. Saturday service will run on Monday, Feb. 18, which is Presidents’ Day. Additional trains during the morning and afternoon peak periods will operate.
