Two men killed in separate Richmond shootings

Two people were killed in separate fatal shootings in Richmond over the weekend, police said.

At about 1:07 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a vehicle that crashed into a fence in the 600 block of Ohio Avenue, Richmond police Lt. Matthew Stonebraker said. Jwan Rivas-Rivas, 31, of Richmond was found with several gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital, where he died. Another man was grazed by a bullet in the shooting and was treated at a hospital and released.

About 9:05 p.m. Saturday, police found 40-year-old Zamoura Glasgow, of Rodeo, shot several times in the 200 block of Marina Way South, Stonebraker said. He was taken by medical helicopter to John Muir Medical Center, where he died.

The incidents are not believed to be related. No further information has been released, including information on suspects.
