The Mobile Farmers’ Market run by Fresh Approach will be returning to service in Richmond on Feb. 19, and has already returned to service last week in San Pablo, after a little winter hibernation.

The service offering locally grown fruits and vegetables will roll into Richmond every Wednesday moving at the following times/locations: 9:30–10:30 a.m. at Richmond Kaiser, Harbour Way & Nevin Ave.; 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Richmond Civic Center, 440 Civic Center Plaza, between Barrett Ave. & Nevin Way; and 1:30-2:30 p.m. at 1443 Fred Jackson Way, in the parking lot at Chesley Ave & Fred Jackson Way. The Richmond Mobile Farmers’ Market is sponsored by Kaiser Permanente.

San Pablo service started again Friday, Jan. 31 and will continue every Friday thereafter at the following locations/times: 10-11 a.m. at Contra Costa College, 2600 Mission Bell Dr., San Pablo (located across from the Student Services Building); 11:15 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Life Long Brookside Clinic 2023 Vale Rd.; and 1:45-2:45 p.m. at Contra Costa County San Pablo WIC, 501 Gateway Ave. The Mobile Farmers’ Market’s San Pablo route is sponsored by the City of San Pablo.

While all of the Mobile Farmers’ Market’s produce aims to be affordably priced, Fresh Approach offers a 50 percent discount to customers who participate in the CalFresh (SNAP), WIC, SSI/SSDI and Medi-Cal programs. The market accepts cash, debit, credit and CalFresh/EBT.
