In a Facebook post aptly titled “It’s happening,” Richmond’s Armistice Brewing Company has announced that it’s welcoming the community back to its Beer Garden this weekend after only offering to-go beer service during the pandemic.
As with most reopenings during the COVID-19 era, there are a few caveats. Plans are for the Zobel sibling-owned brewing co. to open its outdoor Beer Garden with abbreviated hours for now: Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2-9 p.m.
There will also be no self-seating at this time; all customers will be seated by the host and if the Beer Garden is full, Armistice will start a waitlist and take down phone numbers. When a table opens up, they’ll call the customer, who will then have five minutes to claim their table, per the statement.
Also at this time, Armistice is not accepting more than six people per party, including children.
“The safety of our staff and our community is front of mind for us, so we will be evaluating and probably making a lot of changes—up to and including reclosing if that’s what feels right,” said Armistice in its statement.
As Armistice reopens its Beer Garden, it plans to collaborate with another “locally-owned, sibling-started business,” Curbside Kitchen. The brewery will also continue to sell to-go beer from its kiosk, “as that is still the safest way to enjoy Armistice beer,” per the statement.
Armistice is located at 845 Marina Bay Pkwy., Suite 1 in Richmond’s Marina Bay neighborhood. For more info, call 510-230-4966 or click here.
