If you can’t go to the taproom, the taproom will come to you. Bearing testament to this wonder is Richmond’s East Brother Beer Co., which will employ the best use of Zoom yet by hosting its inaugural “Virtual Taproom” via the platform Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. Join in the virtual fun Friday by clicking here.
The word from East Brother’s Rob Lightner is that the happy hour will be both entertaining and educational. It will feature a convo between the beer co.’s Head Brewer Paul Liszewski, Admiral Maltings’ Ron Silberstein and Dave McClean, as well as Good Beer Hunting’s Michael Kiser.
The Virtual Taproom isn’t East Brother’s only spring offering; they’re also rolling out a limited release, 7.0% ABV Maibock (also called a Helles Bock).
Lightner calls the Maibock “a seasonal lager style brewed over the winter to provide a delicious, fortifying start to those earliest spring days.”
He noted that East Brother’s Maibock “is a rich lager with a gentle malt sweetness and a classic noble hop balance for some fresh spicy notes” brewed with the Bay Area’s Admiral Maltings’ malt as part of their “commitment to a local, sustainable economy.”
“Under the current climate, we’re getting a good reminder of how important it is to take care of your neighbors,” Lightner added.
To check out East Brother’s Maibock or other brews, you can order curbside pick-up, local delivery or shipping within California by clicking here. For curbside service, East Brother is located at 1001 Canal Blvd. in Richmond.
