Forget the trip to San Francisco -- watch a musical right here in Richmond.

Don’t have to head to San Francisco — catch a good musical right here in Richmond.

The talented Salesian College Preparatory drama department is inviting the community to its Spring musical: The All Night Strut.

Shows run from this Thursday through this Saturday, each night at 7 p.m. in the gym at Salesian, Tickets are just $10 for adults and $5 at the door. All tickets are sold at the door.

The All Night Strut! tours with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and performs with the Boston Pops in a “classy, sassy” and critically acclaimed musical revue.

As described by the Drama Department:

“Set in a radio station in New York City in the 1940s with spectacular music, hilarious skits, and legendary songwriters; such as Hoagy Carmichael, Frank Loesser, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Cab Calloway and the George and Ira Gershwin. The story takes a look behind the scenes of a radio show and all the ups and downs of the performers trying to make it big, while capturing the spirit of a beloved American era.”
