Land a job soon! Orientation for free San Pablo boot camp is Thursday

Fast track your employment search with an intensive four-day Removing Barriers Job Readiness Boot Camp. In order to qualify, you must attend an orientation on Thursday, March 7th at 12:30 pm at San Pablo EDC, 13830 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D, San Pablo, 94806.

The Boot Camp runs March 11-14, 9:00 am-4:30 pm, and will cover topics such as:

  • Career Planning and Job Searching
  • Resume and Cover Letter preparation
  • Interview Coaching and Employer Mock Interviews
  • Dynamic Networking Techniques
  • Job Retention
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Financial Literacy
  • Preparation for upcoming Hiring Fairs on March 20th and April 30th
  • A resource fair featuring training and service providers

Participants who complete the full four-day program will be eligible to sign up for a Travis Credit Union ACCESS card with $50 matched savings generously provided by a Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit Grant, as well as to receive a referral to Wardrobe for Opportunity to obtain professional attire and receive additional job search services.  Additionally, they will have a great opportunity to sign up to receive further job search support from the San Pablo EDC and our partners!

The Boot Camp is entirely grant funded, and will feature speakers and programs offered by several of our partners including Travis Credit Union, the City of San Pablo, and 1st NorCal Credit Union.  This is a great opportunity to get support with your job search and building your employment network.
