If you are looking for a job that lets you give back to your neighborhood, a hiring event is coming to San Pablo City Hall.
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, the San Pablo Economic Development Corporation (San Pablo EDC) will host a City Recreation Jobs Hiring Fair to help residents find work in local government.
Between 3-5 p.m., job seekers can meet face-to-face with staff from the cities of San Pablo, El Cerrito, Albany and Pinole. The event is designed to be a one-stop shop where you can ask questions, learn about different roles, and start the application process. The fair will offer information and help in both English and Spanish.
Recreation departments do much more than oversee parks. They run after-school programs, organize senior activities, and host community events. Because these departments do so much, they have many different types of openings. You can find everything from seasonal summer jobs and part-time shifts to permanent, full-time career paths. There are positions available for people just starting their work life, as well as roles for those with years of experience.
San Pablo City Hall is located at 1000 Gateway Ave. While walk-ins are welcome, interested residents are encouraged to sign up in advance online at https://form.jotform.com/233036059884159.
The San Pablo EDC, the nonprofit organizing the event, focuses on helping people in the East Bay find good jobs and training. If you have questions about the fair, you can reach out to Owen Hershey at (510) 215-3209 or by email at [email protected].
