Five juveniles were arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Bill’s Liquors in Pinole on Sunday, police said.
Pinole police responded around 6:53 p.m. to a report that at least one of the suspects was armed with a gun. Officers responded within minutes, but the suspects had fled by then.
Witnesses reported seeing them running a trail leading to the City of Hercules, which prompted the establishment of a perimeter with help from the Hercules Police Department, which also deployed its advanced drone technology.
The suspects were located and apprehended. Police determined that two of them entered the store armed with Orbeez guns, shot gel balls at the clerk and stole alcohol before fleeing, police said.
Pinole police lauded the support of Hercules police and witnesses in apprehending the suspects.
