2 injured after shooting sends car crashing into Richmond apartment

Two people were injured in a shooting at the Crescent Park Apartment complex Friday night during which a gunshot victim crashed a car into an apartment, injuring one of the apartment’s occupants, police said.
At about 7:22 p.m., Richmond 911 dispatch received a report of over 40 gunshot rounds and a car collision in the area of the 4000 block of Fleming Avenue near Ellis Street, police said.
One the apartment’s residents stated she heard 10 gunshots and discovered a car had crashed into their home. Police said that victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and the incident is actively being investigated.
