Two suspects have been arrested and a third suspect is being sought in connection with a violent home invasion robbery in San Pablo last month.
On the morning of Wednesday, May 12, two men armed with handguns surprised a victim who was watering plants on the front lawn at his San Pablo home, police said.
“The suspects coordinated the attack of the victim from the front and behind him,” police said, which can be seen in newly released video surveillance of the crime.
The suspects dragged the victim from the front yard into the home and confronted six family members. The suspects struck several victims in the head with handguns while threatening to kill them, police said. The suspect fled with wallets, a computer, jewelry, and $5,000 in cash. Police believe the victims were intended targets and are thankful they “were not more seriously hurt.”
With help from public safety cameras, detectives identified the suspects’ vehicle and, following an investigation, served search warrants at homes in the cities of Vallejo, Pittsburg and Antioch early today, with help from the local law enforcement agencies. During the searches, multiple firearms, ammunition and even body armor were recovered, police said.
Tahj Reagan, 26, was arrested at his home in Vallejo at 4:05 a.m., and Antwon Redmon, 32, was arrested at his Antioch home about 30 minutes later, police said.
The third suspect Pittsburg resident Pierre Vines, remains on the loose and is wanted on suspicion of robbery, identify theft, conspiracy and possession of stolen property, police said.
