KQED recently featured Richmond poet and filmmaker Donté Clark for his new 19-minute short film, Blú Honey. The project uses poetry and historical storytelling to explore the experiences of Black men in Richmond across four generations.

Blú Honey is screening tonight at El Cerrito High School at 6 p.m. The event includes a live poetry performance and a discussion with the filmmaker following the movie.

General admission is available, but supporters can also purchase VIP tickets ranging from $50 to $200. These higher-tier tickets fund Clark’s next theater project, Panthers on Fifth Street, which focuses on the history of the Black Panthers in North Richmond.

VIP guests receive early access to the venue, a conversation with the artist, and a copy of Clark’s latest poetry book.
