An employer inspection led to the arrest of an convicted felon who allegedly had firearms stashed in the company van.
According to the Pinole Police Department, the unnamed employer conducted a spot check at a job site in the 1400 block of Fitzgerald Drive and discovered that one of their workers was a convicted felon in possession of a rifle in one of their work vans.
Officers arrived on scene and secured the individual, who was detained without incident. During the subsequent search, police say they uncovered a firearm and a pistol that lacked serial numbers (commonly referred to as “ghost guns”), along with matching ammunition.
The suspect has been identified as Odell Clarence of Lathrop. He was arrested on multiple felony charges, including felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.
