The City of San Pablo is planning to hold a block party as a way to get community input on the future of the Rumrill neighborhood.

The event will take place from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Los Compadres, 1742 Rumrill Blvd. Lunch and kids activities will be provided.

The city is preparing a lan for Rumrill Boulevard between Brookside Drive and Costa Avenue. The plan aims to add new housing, support local businesses, create jobs and improve environmental conditions, according to the city.

“We want to hear from you so that the plan reflects the priorities of San Pablo residents and businesses,” city officials said.

Community feedback will be presented to the San Pablo Planning Commission on Sept. 24.
