Ah, my old familiar friend, Taste of Richmond, is finally returning after a pandemic pause and cue my happy dance because it’s easily one of my favorite local events with fab food, libations and lots of friendly, familiar faces.
This year’s fourth incarnation of the City of Richmond Economic Development Commission’s must-attend foodie fest is moving to a larger, outside location at the Richmond Civic Center Sat., July 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
I have serious love for this event because you can get a sampling of delicious food and drink from some of Richmond’s most popular restaurants and beer/wine makers, all while savoring it alongside your own community. And there’s definitely a joyful VIBE—the crowd is totally amped up to be experiencing our city’s ever-burgeoning food and drink culture in one, easily accessible spot, while DJs and other musical artists help set the scene. It’s one-stop-shopping for a memorable, Rich City time.
My bud, Brandon Evans, vice chair of the Richmond Economic Development Commission and chair of Taste of Richmond, gave me the scoop on the vendors lined up for this year’s event. The can’t-wait-to-taste-it lineup includes: El Garage; Anaviv/Sailing Goat; Baltic Kiss; East Brother Beer; The Factory Bar; Golden Gate Bistro; Piece Out Cake Shop; Perfusion Vineyard; Carica Wines; Up & Under Pub and Grill; Solefully Dope Kitchen; Brazuca Acai; New Gen Nutrition; Snapper Seafood; Lemur International; Michoacan Burgers; SF Pizza; The Urb Shop; and Nuestra Dulce Cultura.
